From its inception the Wagner Society of Southern California has had yearly tributes honoring Wagnerian artists. Past tributes have been awarded to Hans Hotter, Placido Domingo, Jess Thomas, James King, Lyonie Rysanek, Hildegard Behrens, Helga Dernesch, Siegfried Jerusalem, Jane Eaglen, Linda Watson, Peter Seiffert and Petra-Maria Schnitzer, with each honoree present.
